Magnets, Gold and Bubbles - All in the Name of Beauty!

Hello,

Surely I can't be the only one that feels like today has been ever so long for a Monday. So busy. So many calls. So many issues. So many things to do. My weekend feels like it was years ago! Oh good lord send me back. It started well as after healthy eating I weighed myself in for the first time in months after initially starting my diet-that's-not-a-diet. And I lost! Half a stone, so not huge amounts but a great start and has really spurred me on. With the week I had as well what with visiting Cadbury's World and then having chocolate cake every day after dinner as Mr. Warehouse bought us a serves-sixteen massive chocolate cake. Makes me wonder what would have happened if I actually made the effort.

Anyway after an early start seeing Mr. Warehouse off to Eurogamer EGX in Birmingham with Mr. CWG, I headed home and revelled in having the bed back all to myself as I slumbered until mid-morning, snoozing with the dog, watching pointless Youtube videos on crap and snuggling alone! People have often asked what Eurogamer EGX is and from what I know (which isn't much since I have never been) is basically a convention for all the new games that are coming out in the next few months on the count down to Christmas! The classics were all there including Call of Duty, FIFA and Far Cry as well as the smaller lesser known games that are attempting to break into the hard market of gamer-pleasure. As well as the host of games on offer there is also a abundance of talks discussions and places to buy merchandise from brands and gamer's themselves who are well established on Youtube, Twitch and other gaming networks. A small part of the event from what I have heard is of Comic Con also plays a large part in the day with people from all walks of life dressing up in everything from Manga and Anime to Pokemon and other gaming characters. What is slightly off putting for myself would be the fact that whilst you are playing your game, after waiting potentially anywhere up to four-hours or more, that other people are staring at you, literally face up against the glass watching you play a game. Weird if you ask me.

Back to my comfy bed all to myself, but alas I had to get up, for I needed to be at Miss Tweedle-Dee's house ready for a night of pampering. But first I caught up on some telly and took pooch for a nice long walk in a local park and nature spot. After our walk I thought that in the good spirit of it nearly being Halloween I would head into town and look at some of the charity shops in order to try and piece together an outfit or at least get some sort of inspiration for what myself and Mr. Warehouse would be going as. In the next six weeks we have three fancy dress parties to go to, an eighties theme, a nineties theme and a Halloween one. Normally by this time of the year in late September I am all set and ready for Halloween with an outfit planned already, however this year I am again leaving it till last minute it would seem with the eighties themed party less than a fortnight away

With town centre charity shops being a let down I figured I should maybe just head down to "Home" early and maybe pop in to see some family whilst I'm there. Having a catch-up with my Auntie and Uncle is always cathartic as it makes me realise just how far I have come from the scared little 17 year old that ended up living with them all those many moons ago. And my cousins are growing up ever so fast too, the eldest nearly the same height as me?! Jumping back in the car I took the normal route I would through the winding streets and villages surrounding my home ground to Miss Tweedle-Dee's. Suddenly it hit me, Vivienne and I whizzing through the meadows. If my life had a not have taken the term that it did all those years ago, if my father didn't have an affair, if parents didn't divorce and if I had gone to Uni, I could be still taking this route home after visiting my Auntie, Uncle and Cousins to my old family home where I spent most my childhood, maybe to have dinner or maybe to get ready for a night out on the tiles. Maybe we as a family would be meeting my Brother's girlfriend for the first time or maybe I would be the one bringing home a boy! As surreal as it was I soon snapped out of it and wondered would I be there person I am now today? No I would probably be even more entitled than I think I am, with an additional side order of arrogance and sass. I would be the princess of my family and rule the roost as such being the only niece, daughter, sister and granddaughter.

Arriving at Miss Tweedle-Dee's we all settled in for a night of wine, pizza and pampering. Starting off with make-up I started out with a sexy smokey eye and vampy Halloween lips, however I then found some glittery blue eye stuffs and before I knew it I looked like a man in drag. Wiping it off and resetting our faces we began the detox that was starting with a bubble face mask. Now for those of you that have been hiding under a rock or just avoiding Instagram for the last year or so, bubble face mask's are the latest time to hit the beauty industry from our good friends over in the east. Applying the creamy yet gooey consistency to your face, watch as your face starts to tingle and almost feels as though you have popping candy on you. After a few moments you will start to see small bubbles appear on the surface where the cream once was and in time your face or blow up to look like a massive Storm Cloud complete with chipmunk cheeks and poofy features.

Cleansing afterwards we then all tried what I thought personally was the best beauty treatment yet. Magnetic Face Masks and T-Zone cleaners. Applying either all over your face or alternatively in areas where you feel there may be more toxins than others such as the t-zone, on your nose, forehead, cheeks or chin. Letting it sit and absorb the toxins from your pores a while later you can grab a hold of the magnet that the product comes with and gently rub it over the skin and without actually making contact with the covered area you will see and feel how it just pulls it away from your face, attracting the product back. This is 100% something I will be adding to my Christmas list this yeah and definitely would recommend it to anyone.

Heading to bed, tired and sleepy, Miss Tweedle-Dee, Momma-Dee and others all agreed will certainly be doing that again for sure, Oooh, just think of the Christmas looks we could all do on each other with make-up and nails as well as what new fad face thing comes out. Maybe next time we'll even ramp it up with a Lazy-Boy spa for the weekend! Ahh Bliss ...

Visits to The Bestie in Basingstoke!

Hiya!

As with last week, the party planning and driving are simultaneously going rather well and I am thoroughly looking forward to both, however I am anxiously worried for my Driving Test and impatiently excited for my party. But this weekend I was very excited to see my friends, Miss Tweedle-Dee and Miss Tweedle-Dumb as I had not seen them properly since we all came back from Lanzarote in June.

Finishing work on Friday I flapped about needing to go home before meeting Miss Tweedle-Dee at Leagrave Station, and all because I was having a brain-fart that morning, forgetting the most important things on any sleepover agenda - A phone charger, toothbrush and Cigarettes (if you please). I blame the fact that I was up late the previous two evenings, one of them at Bedford Hospitals A&E Department due to having yet another vicious bout of Cystitus. Taking Thursday off work had really knocked me for six and whilst I was feeling a little better in myself, my brain was struggling with the simplest of functions.

Finally arriving at the Bedford Station I took a look at the departures board and hurried along to get my ticket, all in good time to make my train. But after a very long queue, people taking hours or even days to make their ticket purchase I was finally rushing up the stairs in order to make it to the right Platform. Suffice to say that the train left earlier than planned and as a result I was left behind. I worried not much however since there was another train going in the same direction in less than ten minutes, so I waited. Only to be told, ten minutes later, that it had been cancelled due to a 'technicality'. Hmm. Great! Loosing the will to live I stormed over to the ticketing office and asked them to explain themselves. Shrugging me off some excuse they said that there would be another train ready for boarding in another ten minutes so to be ready for that one. After ten-minutes or so I waited as patently but now pissed off, my Starbucks Frappucino had gone and my suitcase was now fucked since I had pretty much booted it around the platform annoyed at my situation. Train coming in I went to board the train with my sophisticated suitcase only to overhear a paunch gentleman tell a young women that the train I had been waiting patiently for was not even going to fucking Leagrave and would go right bloody past it. No longer able to deal with my anger inside I exploded angrily at the members of staff and stormed back over the bridge to the original platform I had been waiting at.

Soon enough though I was on the move, only an hour later after arriving to Bedford station itself and therefore over an hour late for Miss Tweedle-Dee collecting me from Leagrave station. I was in the know about the traffic issues that the M25 faced and I also knew that there was another hour-and-a-half journey to Basingstoke where Miss. Tweedle-Dumb now lived with her partner so was anticipating traffic. However we made it in very good timing, laughing, joking and chatting all the way down there. Once arriving at said abode, Miss Tweedle-Dee and I were welcomed in by Miss Tweedle-Dumb and shown around the magnolia-wash, 1-bedroomed, ground-floor flat. Just ten minutes from all the shops, pubs and supermarkets of Basingstoke you couldn't want for more. The area was quiet and whilst it was obvious it was a council estate but not the roughest one I have seen. Lots of storage space and a sociable corridor made the Little flat feel cosy yet spacious. I was pleased for my bestie and was looking forward to spending some time with her, and hopefully her partner who never normally spoke or interacted much. I was as it goes able to get a conversation out of him come Saturday morning as we spoke and discussed about upcoming games, games consoles and what I had brought my other-half, Mr. Warehouse, for his birthday. I suppose some could say that he was rude or sharp with his views or opinions on things but I see him as a fairly nice bloke I would like to know more of and about, especially since he is living with one of my little princesses!

Saturday seemed to breeze by in a whirl of shopping, coffee stops, smoke stops and chatting in nearby Reading. However I think there was, or maybe is, severely wrong with me. I am not what you would call 'make-up obsessed' but Miss Tweedle-Dee and Miss Tweedle-Dumb are and this bring me much sadness when we go shopping together for I am forever saying no more to MAC, Boots, Debenhams and Superdrug. But I actually enjoyed it this weekend. I revelled in the fact that KIKO Milano had a sale on in which I bought a new calligraphy-style eyeliner felt-tip for just two-quid. In fact I am almost certain I would have spent more if it wasn't for everything being out of stock. I then followed in the footsteps of my besties and carried on into the afore mentioned MAC, Boots and Superdrug. I enjoyed testing all the different flavours of lipstick's, lip-creams, fragrances and eyeshadows each one being added to my birthday wish list, hoping someone would purchase. And heck if they didn't I would! Just as soon as I get paid!

Sunday was a solemn morning for I knew as well as my Tweedles we would be leaving each other once more. We bid our farewells to the little flat and to Miss Tweedle-Dumb's partner, choosing to head into Basingstoke for a quick mooch and shop before Miss Tweedle-Dee and I headed home. It was a long journey, one we were both already tired and achey from after sleeping on what would seem a self-deflating airbed. Nevertheless we promised to see each other soon, and we shall - At Miss Tweedle-Dumb's Parent's wedding annavirsary celebrations in a couple of weekends time. Emotional to leave I felt horrible that I lived so far away and made a promise to myself that my future children would see their Auntie Tweedles more often than not.Getting dropped to Leagrave station I thanked Miss Tweedle-Dee for the journey and promised that we would catch-up soon.

Driving lesson over and done with I was home within a few hours and ready to commence a new week. Although I have a funny feeling that this one is going to be slooooow ...

The Fallen Gods Of Tin Foil ...

Hello,

So after last week's spur of the moment passion with Mr. Cheese I have been rather lonely this week. Its surprising how much you miss someone when they're not texting or emailing you constantly. Obviously I would never tell Mr. Cheese to his face that I missed him and that every moment was a complete drag as I did not have his prose and linguistics to keep me entertained. Well at least not until he says it first! Haha.

After receiving several emails from Mr. Cheese I am glad to say that whilst I am really enjoying this sudden change in my love life, I am not wholly kean on the idea of a full blown relationship. Besides, if I am brutally honest I still would like to live life as a Singleton. Not in a slaggy way but I enjoy the fact that I can make time for myself, friends and family without having to think what the other-half will think of me spending my time. I'm happy to have Mr. Cheese though don't get me wrong, but the word 'Boyfriend' still scares me. Mr. Cheese and I have discussed this however and we are both happy being as we are with no labels and no stamp to drag us down. But since our discussion I have found myself stumbling upon possibilities and I would not be impartial to the idea now it has been temporarily decided. Not right away though. Don't want to wish away my freedom yet!

But yes I feel myself more accepting of him now than before. Maybe because I am slowly in control of my falling but also because he is sooo different to all of the others? He is not perfect. But then again who is. I sure as hell am not, so why should I expect someone I'm dating to be. I think that ever since Mr. Workaholic and I split I can now see that whilst you may think you have 'The One' and 'Mr. Perfect' they are probably in disguise - A horrible, ogre-like, weedy creature underneath the mask who is horrible to you but all you see is their beauty and perfection. I suppose love really does make you blind! What I think I need is a knight in shining armour, maybe on a zebra steed ... Or just a bumbling buffoon in tin foil that can make me happy. Not much to ask for I think?

Now, as you may know already some of you, it has been a Bank Holiday here in the UK, and for once I actually didn't end up drinking copious amounts of alcohol. Mainly because Miss Chocolate was packing for a family holiday and Miss Tweedle-Dumb was visiting the boyfriend. Oh and everyone else who had money was off gallivanting to festivals left, right and centre. So that left little old me on my todd wondering what to do this Bank Holiday and after working a long day on Saturday all I wanted was good company and giggles - So I plan a Slumber Party!

After finishing work at eight in the evening I call up my friend Miss Tweedle-Dee and arrange for her to come over to my new place and we can watch scary films, I'll laugh, she'll secretly defecate herself and we'll gossip till the sun comes up - Or until we both get so tired we spoon in my silken bedsheets until we both fall asleep. Boy did we have a good night. After arguing with my games console for not accepting my DVD of a (really awful) horror flick I turned to my laptop to save the day and we snuggled on the sofa to enjoy. So shit was it we ended up talking about more pressing matters like why I can strangely smell a strong scent of sweet, ripening banana's and she cannot. Miss Tweedle-Dee said that it is a common occurrence for the recently deceased to let a loved one know they are with them by injecting the room with a strong smell of something they associate with that person - Although neither of us knew anybody with a strong passion for banana's. So we put this down to the fact that our dear Miss Tweedle-Dumb loathes blackening banana's and that maybe she was dead and was trying to give us a sign. Thankfully Miss Tweedle-Dumb is not dead and is alive and well.

Sunday morning rolled around and what a better way to wake up than being told you have hideous morning breath by your best-friend, Miss Tweedle-Dee. Hmmm, Like her shit don't stink?! Thinking of things to do we lounged in bed and came up with a brilliant idea to go to a gay bar. Now I am sure that from the amount of Mr's I talk about I am defiantly loving the cock but we thought it would be a good idea since we had heard some good things from people about a couple of local bars. Unfortunately though we both got lazy and couldn't be arsed. Maybe some other time I shall enlighten you all with a story about how I went to a gay bar once and maybe how I was mistaken for a transvestite. Maybe. I hope not that story though. Mind you I do have a habit of getting the best tales from going out and about. Eh, you never know I might bump into the ever promiscuous bi-curious Mr. Workaholic Haha!

And so the rest of the Bank Holiday has passed in a breeze. Apart from Saturday of course - That was great, a chilled out, relaxed but somewhat boring weekend to say the least spent indulging in my love for odd looking comedians and boy bands with long hair that a twenty-something really shouldn't be into. And now it is that I commence my second and final few days without that Cheesey goodness. I have actually been planning our fourth date over the past week and it is coming along splendidly but I shall reveal all in a couple of weeks after we finally go on it as I wouldn't ruin the surprise for you all. Besides, it wont just be the daylight hours I shall be talking about if you know what I mean ...
